How To Play The Troll Hunters Slot

- Scandinavian Theme. Troll Hunters has a Norse feel to it and is set high up in the snowy mountains on a bright day in the middle of winter. To the right of the reels stands one of the three main troll hunter characters. The theming is on point, though if you’re expecting to see trolls everywhere, you’ll only see them during the free spins round.
- Line Wins. The slot’s played on an extra large 5x5 grid. There aren’t any set paylines as such. For you to win, you need to have three to five matching symbols land in a horizontal or vertical row anywhere on the gaming grid. A symbol can be featured in more than one winning combination. - Symbols. There are nine symbols that can appear during the base game. These include three female viking characters, a pair of earrings, a single earring, two beer flagons with skulls on them, a single beer flagon and a large hunk of meat. The most valuable of these is the blonde viking - she gives you payouts worth 25x your bet for a line of five. The slot’s wild is a gold symbol with interlocking triangle symbols on it. This is the most valuable symbol overall, giving you a generous 500x payout should you form a line of five. During the free spins round, a different set of symbols is used. These include the three female vikings (who all have higher payouts) and seven new symbols, which include pieces of weaponry and a lantern.
- Consecutive Wins. Whenever you win, all of the winning symbols vanish from the grid and the middle symbol in the row is replaced by a wild. The gaps left behind are filled by symbols falling from above - as this happens, no new symbols appear (the symbols that fall are already on the grid). With every consecutive win, the value of a multiplier increases, giving each consecutive win more value. Once symbols fall and no new win is formed, you return to the base game. If you manage to clear the grid of all 25 symbols, you’ll receive a payout worth 1,000x your bet.
Troll Hunters Free Spins
On every spin, a number of reels will have the word ‘BONUS’ written on them, one letter per position. To trigger the free spins round, you need to have all five symbols on at least one reel disappear through consecutive wins to fully reveal the word ‘BONUS’. As mentioned above, the free spins round is played with a new set of symbols. To win, you need five or more matching symbols to appear anywhere on the grid on the same spin. The more matching symbols there are, the more you’ll be paid.
Just like in the base game, the blonde viking is the most valuable one: the payout for 10 is 175x your bet. The free spins round is played with a multiplier; the more ‘BONUS’ reels you cleared to trigger the feature, the bigger the multiplier will be. During free spins, landing five or more troll symbols gives you extra free spins; each free spins round can have a maximum of 20 spins.
